I have been eyeing this coffee shop for a while now, but it is so close to the Raven that I always head to the spot where I know I will be pleased. This weekend we have had the opportunity to be in the area two days in a row, so we took a chance on trying The Exquisite Corpse Coffee House. We will be back. Raven, they give your mochas a run for the money.....and I never imagined These words would leave my mouth as Raven is one of my two all-time favorite mochas. I am a dark chocolate fan and a purist when it comes to coffee and chocolate flavors. The mocha is sweet but tastes like deep chocolate, not syrup or chemicals. The sweetness blends well with the espresso flavor rather than overpowering it. The foam makes it creamy and rich. Perfect. The dark chocolate covered beans are offered to customers as samples with their purchases. You must try them. Get a 1/4 pound bag to go. We have had their sweet potato cookies and muffins. Tasty but not awesome. I do like the freshness and look forward to trying other varieties of baked goods. The shop is very cozy and exquisitely decorated as it blends seamlessly with an art gallery. Very appealing. Wifi available from the shop they own next door. Limited seating. Move over Raven and Caribou. There's a new kid in town. Now one of my top three mochas.

This place is wonderful. We were intrigued by the name- and of course our love of coffee. We were recommended to go there by a random stranger on the street. It shares a space with "The Golden Rodent?" Same owner- It's an Art Gallery in front and a CoffeeHouse in back. They have whole beans you can buy or order, to grind. Coffee syrups made with kane sugar ( even coconut) which the boyfriend got. For 20 bucks we got.... 2 Espresso's (Which were served with Chocolate covered Espresso beans) 2 Coffee's to go 1/2 Lb Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans 1 Exquisite Corpse Coffee Mug The atmosphere is wonderful. There is a community Table with good book reads. Small tables lining the walls, old fashioned and nostalgic board games stashed in the book cases for patrons to use. We sat at a coffee bean decorated table, drank our Espresso's, ate our chocolate beans, and then browsed the gallery before grabbing our Coffees to go. Note: they have Raw Sugar, and Stevia as a the alternative. Definitely worth another visit- just for the Espresso.

This is a great little coffee house. Comfortable atmosphere, nice service, nice staff. Even the guy who used to own The Raven goes here for coffee (or so I heard!) if that says anything! Not only is their coffee great and fairly priced, but they make excellent tea drinks as well. I go here as often as I can. Make sure to get the chocolate covered espresso beans!

Great fresh roast coffee, excellent prices and very friendly staff. We always enjoy our fresh roasted Columbian coffee beans and the Americano is over the top, awesome roasty taste.

Best latte in port huron! Best interior too. Unfortunately though, they share their wifi with several other businesses, so the signal strength is very very low. I wish they would get their own wifi - then it would be my new spot! So until then, I'll be going elsewhere to get work done. Only 1 type of baked good being served. They need more options.

Another great trip to the Exquisite Corpse! Enjoyed the Fogcutter house blend, a mixture of three coffees - a nice mild cup of coffee to enjoy with a treat. Today's pick, a sweet potato cookie - tasted great and paired well with my coffee. Leaving with another armful of freshly roasted beans for our home brewing - this coffee house is so quaint we love coming here.

I'm new to Michigan, and a serious coffee drinker. I was disappointed with the lack of coffee in the area. I was beyond thrilled to find this place. The eclectic feel and style of the shop is something I'm not used to coming from Hawaii. I just thought it was pretty neat. The service was great and they were super friendly and enthusiastic. I awkwardly smiled and nodded cause I wasn't prepared for it, still staring at the quirkiness all around. They seem very excited about their coffee and they should be. I just had a latte and my husband got a cappuccino. It was fantastic! When we paid, we owed them just around 4 bucks. We will be back. :)

Coffee, like food, can be very subjective. What one person adores, others despise. I can only say that I have been to well known shops across the continent, and the Golden Rodent / Exquisite Corpse coffee shop ranks right up there with some of the best I've ever been to. The onsite roasting, and minimalist contemporary interior set the bar high for other area shops. The staff has been nothing but friendly and professional during our visits. I would love to see more food options available, but only if it matched the caliber of coffee served. Well done Exquisite Corpse. Port Huron is fortunate to have you.

Great cup of coffee, I recommend the Sumatra Organic. Staff is friendly and they don't forget a name or a face. Some nice art to view while you drink your coffee.

We had never been their before, but were intrigued by the name and the fact they are connected to their own art gallery, we stopped in to find no menu or options of what to get on a board or anything... We asked if they had a menu and were told " no" and then shown their huge selection of three coffees you could get..... Decided to look at the art gallery hoping it'd have more to offer and found literally like three paintings ..... Thats an art corner on the wall lol not a" gallery" .... How can u only serve three coffees and have no menu and call yourself a coffee house? What a joke! The only thing good about the place are their cute tables and macabre decor fitting to their name, i wouldn't recommend it, however they are conveniently located just down the road from The Raven coffee house, which is where we went and had a wonderful time picking from their tons of awesome drinks and entrées, and enjoying their awesome gothic vibe which pays tribute to the infamous Edgar Allen Poe at every turn, basically everything this place wishes it could be but obviously can't live up to.

We stopped in for a cup of coffee on a rainy June afternoon. The house is unique and inviting. There is a variety of pastries and other baked goods that unfortunately I will have to sample on a future visit. I sampled Kenyan and French Roast coffee and both were excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed a hot cup of the Kenyan coffee and my wife went with the Kenyan prepared as an iced coffee. The service was friendly and enthusiastic. The employee working explained the meaning of the Exquisite Corpse. A very detailed explanation can be found here.... exquisitecorpse.com/defi…

Delicious sweet potato muffin (tastes like pumpkin pie), perfect Sumatra coffee. Really cool space, with a big communal table with a chess board, as well as other small tables outside to sit and watch Port Huron go by. The coffee shop is connected to an art gallery, The Golden Rodent. All in all, a perfectly executed concept, with great coffee and pastries. Give it a try!

Only coffee in Port Huron. Worth the drive off the highway, or from across the border. And if you meet the owner, just talk coffee or flying. She's a gracious and wonderful woman.
